Tranquillity Super Yacht

Tranquility, formerly Equanimity, is a majestic superyacht launched in 2014 at the Oceanco shipyard in Alblasserdam. Oceanco was responsible for its refined exterior, and Winch Design was responsible for the interior.

The yacht’s history is shrouded in mystery and scandal: it was purchased by Malaysian financier Joe Low with money stolen from the Malaysian National Welfare Fund. In 2018, the yacht was seized by the Malaysian authorities, and in early 2019 it was sold in court to the Genting Group and renamed Tranquility. Despite its turbulent past, Tranquility remains one of the most luxurious yachts in the world.

Accommodation and facilities:

Tranquility is a whole world of luxury, designed for 22 guests. 11 exquisite suites, including a master suite, three VIP cabins and seven cabins with various accommodation options, guarantee everyone a secluded stay. The spacious main cabin is the full width of the yacht, complemented by an office and a dressing room. And 31 crew members provide impeccable service.

On board Tranquility, you can relax in the cozy cinema after a walk by the sea, in the beauty salon or in the luxurious spa with sauna and steam bath. For outdoor enthusiasts, there is a gym and a stylish Jacuzzi on the deck.

The yacht has an elevator, a helipad and satellite communication systems so that you never lose touch with the outside world. Underwater lanterns create mesmerizing lighting effects in the water in the evenings, and wireless internet will allow you to stay connected.

It is equipped with a whole arsenal of water toys to make your vacation unforgettable. Water skiing, wave runners, seahorses and an electric surfboard – all this will allow you to experience the adrenaline and joy of moving on the water.

Its owner, Malaysian financier John Lowe, was accused of embezzling funds from the state fund 1 MDB. The yacht was confiscated by the authorities of Malaysia and Indonesia, and then returned to its owner to be seized again. Eventually, in 2019, Equanimity was sold in court to the Genting Group and renamed Tranquility.
