Walking along the Marina Walk, I felt like I was in the center of a modern metropolis, where life is bustling around the clock. Here you can see luxury yachts moored at the docks and even rent one for a sea voyage. In the evening, Marina transforms into a lively district with many restaurants, cafes, and shops. I enjoyed dinner at one of the restaurants overlooking the water, watching the city reflected in the calm surface of the canal. For those who love adventure, there is an opportunity to climb the "Ain Dubai", the largest Ferris wheel in the world, located on Bluewaters Island next to the Marina.

In Dubai, sports are not just a way to stay fit, but also a part of the culture. Football is adored here, and you'll often see groups of young people playing on makeshift fields or watching matches in cafes. However, camel racing is considered the most traditional sport. I visited one such race at the Al Marmoom racecourse, and it was a thrilling spectacle: camels, steered by robot jockeys, racing across the sandy track to the cheers of the audience. Falconry is another ancient pastime still practiced today. I visited the Dubai Falconry Academy, where I learned about the intricacies of training these majestic birds and even got to hold a falcon on my arm. In addition, water sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, and diving are very popular thanks to the abundance of beaches and warm water.

Dubai is renowned for its unique skyline, and besides the Burj Khalifa, there are many other impressive skyscrapers. The Burj Al Arab is a luxurious hotel shaped like a sail, standing on an artificial island. I couldn't miss the opportunity to have a cup of tea there while enjoying the sea views. The Emirates Towers are two elegant skyscrapers reflecting sunlight and symbolizing the city's business prowess. The Cayan Tower, also known as the "twisted tower," rotates 90 degrees from base to top, creating a stunning visual effect. Walking along Dubai Marina, I was amazed by the architectural diversity and boldness of the design solutions.

I stood among the mesmerized crowd, feeling the cool spray on my face and forgetting about the time. This show repeats every half hour, and each time it seems unique. Driving in Dubai is organized to a high standard, but there are a few things to note. Driving is on the right-hand side of the road and the roads are generally of a high quality, making driving easy. However, traffic during rush hour can be heavy, especially on major roads like Sheikh Zayed Road. Speed and traffic cameras are in operation throughout the city, and fines can be substantial. I hired a car and found that local drivers can be quite fast and sometimes make unexpected maneuvers, so it’s important to be attentive. Parking can be expensive in the city center, but shopping malls often offer free parking. Public transport, including the metro and tram, is a good alternative for getting around the city.
