What is Ain Dubai and what is it famous for?

Ain Dubai is the largest observation wheel in the world, located on Bluewaters Island. Standing at 250 meters tall, it towers over the city, offering breathtaking panoramic views. I bought a ticket for sunset to see the city transform into evening lights. The cabins are spacious, with panoramic windows and comfortable seating. In one rotation, which takes about 38 minutes, I was able to take in all the key attractions: Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai Marina. It’s not just an attraction; it’s a true engineering marvel, symbolizing Dubai’s ambitions and aspirations for new heights.

Yacht charter in Dubai: How do I pay for a yacht?

The cost of renting a yacht in Dubai may vary depending on the company providing the services. Main payment methods: Bank transfer: one of the most common payment methods, especially when booking in advance. The company provides you with the details for the transfer, and you make the payment through your bank. It is important to keep in mind that bank transfers can take several days, so it is recommended to do this in advance. Credit/Debit cards: Many companies accept credit and debit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other popular payment systems. This payment method is usually the fastest and most convenient. Cash: Cash payment is possible, especially if you book the yacht directly on site. Keep in mind that yacht rental amounts are usually significant, so it is better to clarify in advance the possibility of paying in cash and limits. Online payment systems: Some companies may accept payments through popular online payment systems such as PayPal. Important points when paying: Deposit: specify the amount and conditions of the deposit. A deposit is usually paid to cover possible damage to the yacht during the rental period and is refunded after the end of the lease if everything is in order with the yacht. Prepayment: Many companies require prepayment (usually from 20% to 50% of the rental price) when booking a yacht. Payment currency: Specify the currency in which the payment is accepted (usually UAE Dirhams (AED), US dollars (USD) or Euros (EUR)). Additional expenses: specify which expenses are included in the rental price (captain's services, fuel, insurance) and which are paid separately. Fees: there are fees for making a payment (for example, the commission of a bank or payment system). Payment confirmation: Be sure to keep the payment confirmation (bank transfer receipt or credit card receipt) until the end of the yacht rental.

What is the history of the ruling family in Dubai?

The ruling family of Dubai, the Al Maktoum, plays a key role in the history and development of the emirate. Since 1833, when Sheikh Maktoum bin Butti moved with the Bani Yas tribe to the Dubai Creek area, the family has ruled the city. Under the leadership of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Dubai began its transformation into a modern metropolis. The current ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, continues the dynasty's traditions, promoting innovation, tolerance, and development. I visited the Union Museum, which details the creation of the UAE and the contribution of the ruling family to the country's establishment. Their vision and leadership have been the driving force behind Dubai's success.

What is the history of the founding of Dubai?

When you first see the glittering skyscrapers of Dubai, it's hard to imagine that less than a century ago there were only sand dunes and fishing boats bobbing on the waves of the Persian Gulf. The history of Dubai begins at the beginning of the XVIII century, when the Bani Yas clan founded a small settlement near the Dubai Creek. This narrow bay has become a vital artery for trade and fishing. In 1833, the Al Maktoum clan peacefully seized power, and since then Dubai has been ruled by this dynasty. But the real turning point came in the middle of the 20th century with the discovery of oil. Instead of relying solely on oil revenues, wise rulers invested in infrastructure, trade and tourism, turning Dubai into a global hub in a few decades.

What observation deck offer the best view of the city?

Dubai is abundant with places that offer stunning views. Of course, the top spot goes to "At The Top" in Burj Khalifa. Ascending to the 124th and 125th floors, I found myself at an altitude of over 450 meters. However, for the ultimate experience, it's worth choosing "At The Top SKY" on the 148th floor — the highest observation deck in the world. Another excellent option is The View at The Palm, located on the 52nd floor of The Palm Tower. From here, you can see the entire Palm Jumeirah in all its glory. I also visited Dubai Frame, where from a height of 150 meters, you can see both the old and new city laid out before you. Each viewpoint offers its own unique perspective and atmosphere.

What museums and galleries are there in Dubai?

Despite its futuristic appearance, Dubai cherishes its history. The Dubai Museum, located in the ancient fort of Al Fahidi, offers a journey through time. Descending into the cool underground halls, you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the old city with its markets, houses and crafts. I was particularly impressed by the interactive expositions where you can learn about pearl mining, once the main fishery of the region. For art lovers, the Alsercal Avenue area has become a real discovery. Modern art galleries, cafes and studios are hidden among the converted warehouses. Here I met artists from all over the world, discussing art over a cup of strong Arabic coffee.
