Descending into the cool underground halls, you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the old city with its markets, houses and crafts. I was particularly impressed by the interactive expositions where you can learn about pearl mining, once the main fishery of the region. For art lovers, the Alsercal Avenue area has become a real discovery. Modern art galleries, cafes and studios are hidden among the converted warehouses. Here I met artists from all over the world, discussing art over a cup of strong Arabic coffee.

The cockpit is the place on the yacht where all the magic happens. Here you control the ship, enjoy the sun and discuss with friends which of you will be the first in line for a cocktail. This is the ship's control area, where one or two steering wheels, a navigation system, winches for controlling sails and other equipment are located. The yacht's skipper spends most of his time here. The cockpit also applies to the entire interior of the yacht, unless it is divided into cabins, a gallery and other rooms. If you suddenly hear the phrase “everyone to the cockpit!”, this is just an invitation to have fun.

Drift is an undesirable movement of a yacht due to wind or current. If this is not followed, it may lead to the yacht's deviation from the course.

This is important if you want everyone to come beautifully dressed, to a business event, not in flip-flops and shorts like on the beach.

Petrel is not only a bird, but also a term in yachting! This is a special maneuver that allows the yacht to move downwind with maximum efficiency. If you suddenly hear "petrel", you know — it's going to be a real adventure!

Yacht waste management includes the following measures: Collection and storage: Separation of waste into categories (plastic, glass, organic) and their storage in airtight containers. Sanitary systems: The use of marine toilets with wastewater collection and storage systems for subsequent disposal in marinas. Recycling: Organization of waste recycling on shore, use of recyclable materials. Waste minimization: Reduction of the use of disposable items, preference for reusable and environmentally friendly materials.

Despite its urban appearance, Dubai is surrounded by amazing natural landscapes. The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve is a protected area where you can see Arabian Oryx, desert foxes, and a variety of birds. I went on a safari through the reserve and was amazed by the beauty of the golden dunes and the silence of the desert. Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is a wetland reserve located right in the city. It is home to pink flamingos, herons, and other water birds. Special observation platforms allow you to watch the birds without disturbing their peace.

Rescue vests do not need to be worn on board the yacht.

Ski Dubai is a real winter resort in the heart of the desert, located inside the Mall of the Emirates. Imagine this: the scorching sun and 40°C outside, and you're standing at the top of a snowy slope, ready to ski or snowboard down. I couldn't miss the opportunity to experience this marvel of engineering. The complex maintains a constant temperature of around -4°C. I rented all the necessary equipment and went to explore five different slopes, including the longest one at 400 meters. It was a special treat to interact with real penguins in a specially equipped area. After skiing, I warmed up with hot chocolate in an alpine cafe, watching other skiers through panoramic windows.
