What is the Dubai Frame and why is it popular?
The Dubai Frame is an architectural marvel, a giant frame standing 150 meters tall and 93 meters wide. Located in Zabeel Park, it symbolizes a window between Dubai’s past and future. Ascending to the top, I found myself on a glass bridge with panoramic views of the city. On one side stretches old Dubai with its historic districts and souks, while on the other lies the modern metropolis with its skyscrapers and innovative projects. Walking across the transparent floor, I felt a slight dizziness, but the view was worth it. Downstairs, in the museum section, interactive exhibits tell the story of the city’s past, present, and future.

Museums and cultural centers offer workshops in Arabic calligraphy, ceramics, and textile art. I tried my hand at creating henna patterns and was impressed by the complexity and beauty of this craft.Music and theater are represented at the Dubai Opera, where I enjoyed performances by world-renowned ballet and opera stars in a modern building with unique architecture.

ATMs are ubiquitous, and you can withdraw cash from international cards, but pay attention to the possible fees of your bank. Many places accept credit cards, but it is always useful to have some cash with you for small expenses, especially in markets or small cafes.

Go to question pageDespite its urban appearance, Dubai is surrounded by amazing natural landscapes. I went on a safari through the reserve and was amazed by the beauty of the golden dunes and the silence of the desert. Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is a wetland reserve located right in the city. It is home to pink flamingos, herons, and other water birds. Special observation platforms allow you to watch the birds without disturbing their peace.
Go to question pageAt the foot of the Burj Khalifa, in the heart of the city, lies the Dubai Fountain, the largest choreographic fountain in the world. Imagine: evening comes, and suddenly the dark surface of the lake comes to life with thousands of jets of water soaring to a height of 150 meters. To the beat of the music — from classical Arabic melodies to modern world hits — the water dances, changing colors and shapes. I stood among the mesmerized crowd, feeling the cool spray on my face and forgetting about the time. This show repeats every half hour, and each time it seems unique. Nearby there are cozy restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy the view with a cup of tea or something stronger.
