What is the role of women in Dubai society?
Women in Dubai are playing an increasingly prominent role in society, occupying key positions in business, government, and science. I met a local entrepreneur who runs her own technology company. Her success story reflects the country’s commitment to gender equality and development. The government actively supports the education of women, and universities see a large number of female students studying a variety of disciplines from medicine to engineering. Despite the persistence of traditional values, women in Dubai have opportunities for professional growth and participation in public life.
