What natural landmarks are near Dubai?
Beyond Dubai’s urban skyscrapers, stunning natural landscapes await. The desert is the heart of the emirate. I embarked on a desert safari and was captivated by the endless dunes, changing color in the setting sun. At night, the star-studded sky creates a sense of infinity. The Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is a unique place where you can observe pink flamingos and other migratory birds in their natural habitat. Mountain enthusiasts can venture to the neighboring emirate of Hatta, home to Hatta Dam and Hatta Rock Pools – ideal spots for hiking, kayaking, and picnicking. I enjoyed the tranquility and coolness of the mountain air, a welcome contrast to the city’s hustle and bustle.

To organize a business meeting on a yacht: - Rent a suitable yacht: Choose a large-capacity yacht with a spacious cockpit, a yacht equipped with everything necessary for business meetings (audio-visual equipment, for example, a large TV or projector). - Plan your route: Take into account the duration of the meeting and choose routes with minimal interference, such as large waves or a cluster of noisy ships nearby. - Order catering: Ensure the availability of food and drinks for the participants. - Take care of audio equipment: Rent sound and lighting equipment, as usual on yachts there is no wired microphone, even if there are speakers. - Observe business etiquette: assign a dress code and standards of conduct for your event. This is important if you want everyone to come beautifully dressed, to a business event, not in flip-flops and shorts like on the beach.

I bought a ticket for sunset to see the city transform into evening lights. The cabins are spacious, with panoramic windows and comfortable seating. In one rotation, which takes about 38 minutes, I was able to take in all the key attractions: Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai Marina. It’s not just an attraction; it’s a true engineering marvel, symbolizing Dubai's ambitions and aspirations for new heights.
Go to question pageDubai celebrates both religious and national holidays. The UAE National Day, celebrated on December 2nd, is a time of festivities, parades, and fireworks. The city is adorned with flags and lights, and I felt a special atmosphere of unity and pride among the residents. Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims, characterized by fasting and prayers. During this time, many restaurants and cafes are closed during the day but open in the evening for Iftar, the breaking of the fast after sunset. I participated in Iftar and was touched by the hospitality and spirituality of this event. Other holidays include Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, which are accompanied by family gatherings and charitable activities.

Go to question pageEducation in Dubai blends tradition with modern approaches. Public schools are free for UAE citizens and teach a national curriculum in Arabic, with a focus on Islamic values. However, most expats send their children to international schools, where instruction is in English according to British, American, or IB programs. I visited the Dubai International Academy and was impressed by its multinational environment: students from over 70 countries learn together, sharing their cultural experiences. Higher education is represented by branches of renowned universities, such as New York University Abu Dhabi and Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, as well as local universities. The city actively invests in education, striving to become a center of knowledge and innovation in the region.

Under the leadership of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Dubai began its transformation into a modern metropolis. The current ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, continues the dynasty's traditions, promoting innovation, tolerance, and development.
