In some areas, you can encounter dugongs - rare marine mammals resembling manatees. Dolphins often appear in open sea, and there are tours for their observation. It is important to respect nature and not disturb the animals. Aquariums, such as Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, allow you to get acquainted with marine fauna in a safe environment.

Dubai combines modernity with deep traditions, so it is important to respect local laws and customs. Public displays of affection, such as kissing or hugging, are not welcomed and may provoke a negative reaction. Alcohol can only be consumed in licensed venues, and being intoxicated in public places can lead to fines or arrest. Drugs are strictly prohibited, and punishments for possession or use are very severe. I have always tried to be attentive and respectful, which allowed me to avoid any problems and fully enjoy the trip.

Dubai has transformed into a global education hub, attracting students and faculty from all over the world. Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City host campuses of leading universities, such as the University of Wollongong and Heriot-Watt University. I attended a lecture at the American University in Dubai and was impressed by the modern technologies and multinational atmosphere. Additionally, the city offers a wide range of language schools and courses in various fields – from business to art. I enrolled in a short-term Arabic language course at Eton Institute, which enriched my journey by allowing me to better understand the culture and interact with locals.

Speed limits for yachts in Dubai vary depending on the area: - Marinas and ports: Speed limit up to 5-7 knots. - Near beaches and bathing areas: Speed limit up to 5 knots. - Open waters: Usually the speed is not limited, but it is recommended to take reasonable precautions and take into account weather conditions.

Dubai offers high-speed internet and excellent mobile coverage. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and stability of the connection, even in public areas. Free Wi-Fi is available in most hotels, cafes, and shopping malls. Mobile connectivity is provided by two major operators: Etisalat and du. I purchased a tourist SIM card at the airport and had no issues using the internet or making local calls. 5G networks are being actively rolled out, which is especially convenient for those who rely on fast internet for work or entertainment. Moreover, many public spaces, such as the metro and parks, are equipped with Wi-Fi hotspots, making getting around the city even more convenient.
