Don’t miss Deira, home to the famous markets—the Gold Souk, Spice Souk, and Fish Market. Here, the aromas and sounds of the East create a unique atmosphere, and the opportunity to haggle with vendors adds to the charm.

Desert safari is one of those adventures that you cannot miss in Dubai. I chose the evening safari to see the sunset over the dunes. In a powerful SUV, we raced over the sandy hills, experiencing the thrill of steep descents and ascents. The experienced driver skillfully maneuvered, and I couldn't help but let out excited exclamations. After the exhilarating ride, we stopped at a Bedouin camp. Here, you could try sandboarding, ride a camel, or get a henna tattoo. Dinner under the stars with local cuisine, belly dancing, and traditional music created an unforgettable atmosphere. The desert at night is a special place where silence and the starry sky make you ponder the eternal.

However, traffic during rush hour can be heavy, especially on major roads like Sheikh Zayed Road. Speed and traffic cameras are in operation throughout the city, and fines can be substantial. I hired a car and found that local drivers can be quite fast and sometimes make unexpected maneuvers, so it’s important to be attentive. Parking can be expensive in the city center, but shopping malls often offer free parking. Public transport, including the metro and tram, is a good alternative for getting around the city.

It is better to take UAE dirhams (AED) with you to Dubai for convenience of calculations. You can also take US dollars or euros, which can be easily exchanged for dirhams at exchange offices, banks and hotels.
